Motivation, path to a fulfilled life


Living a healthy lifestyle means different things to different people. The same can go for what motivates us to action? When I was in school I took a class from Jane a wellness coach. She had us make visual repersentations of what motivated us not only to be healthy, but what made us excited to wake up in the morning.

Me? I have a passion for dancing, so I became a Zumba instructor. (If you don't know what Zumba is stayed tuned for future posts.) If you find a passion within fitness it makes it all that much easier to sustain. Non-health related passions can be just as motivating. I also want to travel Australia and Africa and anywhere else life takes me. The idea of traveling the world excites me and pushes me to keep my body in fighting condition, so I can use my retirement years experiencing the world and not limited to my own backyard.

Eating well keeps you energized. Eight hours of sleep keeps you focused and staying in shape physically keeps you in good spirits and enables you to keep up with everyday stress. Take some time to realize what gets you going and what will help you reach all your dreams. I bet you can figure out how living your healthest life will help in your journey to living a fulfilled life.

Make a board or fill a photo album with pictures of people or things you love, activities you enjoy doing and life goals, big or small such as family, friends, dancing, yoga, fashion, opening your own business, learning a new language, travel or anything else that makes you happy.
